For Immediate Release
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — April 28th 2001— AWR has entered into a long term strategic alliance with P&H Technology Consultants to integrate simulation with test to provide a complete verification suite. SoftPlot for Microwave Office provides direct access to popular test equipment for manufacturers such as: Anritsu Wiltron, Rohde & Schwarz, Marconi Instruments, Fluke/Philips, Tektronix, Boonton, Lecroy, Yokogawa, IFR, Wandel & Goltermann, Advantest, Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. SoftPlot for Microwave Office supports a wide variety of equipment types, including: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, modulation analyzers and oscilloscopes.
SoftPlot utilizes the advanced COM API capabilities of Microwave Office to become a virtual “plug-in” application providing the ability to quickly compare simulation and measurements and/or interactively combine the power of simulation with measurement. This capability now gives users of Microwave Office a direct interface to measurement equipment with the largest multi-vendor selection of instruments ever offered in a High Frequency EDA platform.
“We see this as a great offering to the High Frequency EDA community” said Ron Patston the Vice President of Marketing for AWR “This is really the first time in many years that a High Frequency EDA vendor has supported a true multi-vendor interface to measurement equipment”
SoftPlot for Microwave Office is available on the current Microwave Office 2001 CD. Further information about this product can be found on the P&H website www.softplot.com/mwoffice as well as the AWR website www.mwoffice.com. The product is available and shipping in production quantities now as an add-on to Microwave Office 2001.
